Can Thrawn SAVE Star Wars? | Ahsoka Update | Andor Cast Interviews #starwars #andor #ahsoka

Tales of the Jedi scores have come in on Rotten Tomatoes, and this time around, critics and fans seem to be in agreement. Fans have given the series a 95% rating overall, while the 16 professional critics have all scored it as 100%. This is somewhat of a breath of fresh air, when today more than ever before, we oftentimes see a disparity between critical and casual fan reviews. One thing is certain, Dave Filoni knows how to make good animated star wars. Let us know in the comments how you enjoyed the series.

Recently, the voice of both Cad Bane and Count Dooku has sat down for an interview with i09, and revealed that he actually wanted to change the voice of Dooku when he was first approached about doing the show. Saying, “my thought was, let’s do him like a young sort of Michael Yord, a young Shakespearean type. Forward looking, ambitious, but, you know, positive spirited. And so I had figured on doing a young, bright version. Sort of a new kind of version of him.” Dave Filoni, upon hearing Burton’s new voice for Dooku said, “oh, no, no, no, no, just do Dooku. Our voices don’t change that much from young adulthood, if at all. Just play the character.” Butron went on to say, “I pride myself in being a craftsman, a craft worker. And every character and every production is this team effort. Dave is a master storyteller. And, in serving that, hopefully I am bringing that to the microphone. And it all fits together and forms something really special. Something greater than the sum of its parts”.

Daisy ridley has struggled to get work after the Star Wars sequel trilogy. She was in the box-office bomb, Chaos Walking. And now, she has two movies coming out that could bring her back to relevancy. Her first comeback movie is titled Young Woman and the Sea, which will be on Disney+. It’s a biopic about Gertrude Ederle, the woman who was the first to swim across the English Channel. The second movie, title Magpie, will be about a couple who is struggling when their daughter, an actress, is cast with a major star. The movie is being described as a thriller and she will be costarring with Shazid Latif. The actress told Entertainment Weekly that she had gone out on quite a few auditions but it was like listening to crickets. “At the beginning of the year, nothing was coming through,” she said. “I was like, ‘Aww! No one wants to employ me.” And then she continued, “There were actually loads of things that I auditioned for at the beginning of the year and didn’t get any of them.” Though we aren’t fans of Rey Skywalker, We wish daisy the best of luck.

And in our final update of the day, we look at everything we know so far about the upcoming disney+ show, Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson. Since the show was first announced, things have been pretty quiet. We get an occasional image from the set. Rosario Dawson will make an occasional post on social media. But when is the show going to come out? Are we going to see Ahsoka and Darth Vader together? Or will it be an Anakin Skywalker flashback? Who knows, maybe both!

The show is expected to debut sometime late in 2023, as the Mandalorian will be taking the early Star Wars slot during the calendar year.

The series is part of the Mando-Verse, set 5 years after Return of the Jedi, and after the season 2 finale of the Mandalorian. Ahsoka is out traveling the galaxy looking for Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Ahsoka creator and star wars creative Dave Filoni spoke on the series with Vanity Fair, saying “Ahsoka is a continuous story. It is definitely driving toward a goal, in my mind, as opposed to being little singular adventures. That’s what I want the character to be doing, and i think that’s what fans want now. They have such a relationship with her. I’ve only recently started to understand that all those kids that watched Clone Wars are now a lot older, they’re very excited about all the things they grew up with, as they should be.

Now, speaking of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Lars Mikkelsen, voice of the character in Rebels, is rumored to have been cast for the role. He would not be the first in his family to play a role in live-action star wars, since his brother Mads Mikkelsen played Galen Erso in Rogue One. Star Wars leaker Christopher Marc broke the rumor on twitter, saying, “looks like Ahsoka has indeed hired Lars Mikkelsen to play Thrawn in the series and will have his traditional white uniform in the streaming series. Mikkelsen has been rumored for ages and previously voiced the character on Star Wars Rebels.
