Former UCF football player Jake Hescock (25) suddenly collapses while jogging, dies of cardiac arrest

Jake Hescock was jogging on December 6th, 2022 when he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest.

He suffered severe brain injury during the medical incident and was put on life support before he died. It is unclear whether the brain injury was due to collapsing, due to prolonged lack of oxygen, due to a ruptured aneurysm, or possible other mechanisms.

According to Facebook posts from friends and family, someone found the 25-year-old man and was able to get him resuscitated.

Hescock played tight end at University of Central Florida (UCF) Knights from 2017-2021.
