China and India committed to uphold security and stability along the western side of the LAC: MEA.

22 December, New Delhi (ANI): At the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on December 20, 2022, the 17th session of the India-China Corps Commander Level Meeting resulted in an agreement between India and China to ensure security and stability at the border. According to MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, "the two parties agreed to maintain security and stability on the ground in the western sector, maintain communication through military and diplomatic channels, and work out a mutually recognized resolution." The 17th iteration of the India-China core commander level meeting took place on December 20 at Chushul Moldo on the Chinese side. In order to address the outstanding concerns as soon as possible, two sides had candid and in-depth conversations along the LAC in the western sector.
