Hi, my name is Josh with Dream Body Clinic. In our video series called The Ultimate Guide to Stem Cell Therapies, we are discussing mesenchymal stem cells, also known as MSCs. These cells are found in almost every tissue in the body, surrounding the capillaries and controlling blood pressure. When they detect inflammation in the area, they go to the site and act like a manager on a construction site, seeking out the cause of the inflammation and working to heal and regenerate the tissue.
Contrary to popular belief, MSCs do not differentiate into other types of cells when injected into the body. Instead, they send out signaling proteins, chemical proteins, and exosomes to guide the healing process and fight inflammation. MSCs were discovered in the early 1990s by Dr. Arnold Kaplan, who found that he could isolate and turn them into different tissues in a laboratory setting. However, when injected into the body, they simply act as medicinal signaling cells, guiding the healing process without becoming anything else.
Mesenchymal stem cells have been heavily researched and have shown to be effective in treating a variety of conditions, including graft versus host disease and multiple sclerosis. At Dream Body Clinic, we have been using MSCs for the past eight years and have never had any rejection or negative side effects. We offer a variety of stem cell treatments and provide a full analysis of the cells to ensure the safety of our patients.
