Do startup companies pay passive income?

The majority of startup companies are not in a position to pay passive income. Most startups lose money for one or more years before breaking even and becoming profitable. For that reason, most startups simply are not able to pay passive income.

Passive income is better obtained by purchasing corporate income bonds of privately held companies. Government bonds the amount of return is notoriously low although it is considered absolutely safe.

About your question, there are some startups that pay passive income but typically they are paying something based on gross revenue not based on net profit. These startups are not very common and not easy to locate but if you look around, you contact me, I can share some of my experience investing in and creating startup companies..
