PDP - Ep131 - Training Dogs to remove food aggression issues

- Warnings before starting

- Best way to fix food aggression problems is to never have them, start training as a puppy

- Food aggression width people vs dogs

- Basic Intro Drill - 1. Dog on lead, person standing, correct if aggression. 2. Dog on lead, touching while eating, correct/praise. 3. Dog on lead, petting and rubbing dog and getting near head, correct/praise. 4. Dog on Lead, kneeling and petting, “leave it” take food, praise, return food, praise/correct.

- Additions
Bring children near dog while eating (SAFETY!!)
Begin bringing dogs together. Considerations if multiple dogs are aggressive.
If you have to give multiple corrections in a single session, I remove food for the day and start again tomorrow. They miss that meal.
