Owls and Dreamcatchers, my first commissioned hand painted leather bag for 2023 | Time lapse process

Special thanks to Ms. Melanie L. of Benguet, Philippines for this commissioned work. She requested four owls, each one representing her four sons. Each owl has a different eye color, feather design and facial expression which represents each one having a unique personality and traits. She also requested for dream catchers. I used metallic and pearlescent colors (gold, bronze, copper, silver, pearl white, champagne) for the owls and glitter paints for lighting highlights.

MATERIALS:
-Vegan Leather Doctor's Bag - 9 x 12 x 6 inches
-Leather De-glazer (Drip by Philoscopic)
-Sakura Gel Pen 08 (White)
-000 or 5/0 round, liner brush, flat brush 2
-Leather Paints
--Drip by Philoscopic
--The Leather Cottage
--Liam Jacobs
-Plaid Multi-surface paints
-Leather Cream Conditioner
-nitrile gloves (when applying leather deglazer)
-old cotton cloth
-paper towels
-masking tape (for covering metal fittings while painting, optional)
-scissors
