About Emma Jane Taylor

As a child Emma-Jane was told she was a failure, the girl going nowhere & had a juvenile delinquent badge slapped on her, by her psychiatrist, by the time she was 13. Being labelled at an early age came with many difficulties, leading to most people believing she would be dead or in prison by the time she was 20 - although for many the resultant mental trauma from child sexual abuse is prison enough.

She is the Founder of The Works Co, a series of lifestyle businesses, founded over 25 yrs ago. She found her own success through years of therapy, communication, support, fitness/well-being & writing.

She organically became an Advocate & voice on the subject of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), Speaker & Author. Her debut book, Don’t Hold Back is a motivational self-help book, published in 2018 to encourage readers to find their voice, and to give thought and process into the difficulties around CSA, rejection & abandonment – all based on her personal and difficult story. Don't Hold Back highlights how she turned her life around to become the confident leader, and successful woman she is today.

Using her personal story, she has successfully supported many corporates, focusing on Behavioural Change as a key part of an individual’s development/growth; professionally & personally. Her bespoke training allows corporate environments to flourish with better focused employees, empowered by themselves. Her client list is extensive, recently working with Barclays Bank, Newton Europe, Amazon Web Services, Invesco, NSPCC.

In 2021 she put pen to paper for her next book & launched Project 90/10; a charity being set-up to reduce child sexual abuse through education, knowledge, awareness & research.

Her magazine launched in 2022.

Her TEDx Talk was shared in 2021, "It's not just the strangers we should be careful of" - her message aligns with Project 90/10, that 90% of children being abused, are being abused by someone they know.

She took to the stage in 2021 to speak at The NSPCC’s Celebrity Chef annual Fundraiser. Her speech raised £22k.

In 2022 she introduced her petition to parliament, to gain funding & better support schemes for survivors of child sexual abuse.
