Leaving a Legacy in Romania.

In the late 90s, during a Sunday church service, in Camden, Arkansas, Terry Mize was ministering for dear friend, Pastor Terry Maris, who had, along with his wife, Dorcas, just adopted a precious orphan girl in Romania.  At the end of the service, pastor Maris asked his church to please pray for the orphanage as they had no running water. Winter was coming and the winters in Romania are harsh. He began to weep and told the church to pray that they could get plumbing into the building.  It was critical as the water also provides heating for the building.  Terry Mize raised his hand and said, “Let’s go plumb it!”  Pastor asked, “Would you go?”  TL responded, “Yes, but we will Plumb in the daytime and we will gather local Pastors and teach them the Word of Faith in the nighttime.” That project and pastor’s conference started a 25 year plus relationship with Romania, their orphanages and their pastors. A wonderful man by the name of Paul Crisan, who had been a pastor under the communist regime and arrested and tortured by the secret police, finally escaped with his family to America. Later he returned and became a leader of Gypsy pastors and became very involved with the many orphanages. This God-inspired series of connections sparked a 25+ year mission to rescue children, build orphanages, train hundreds of pastor-leaders and launch over 400 churches in Romania alone.  None of this heritage would have been possible, if not for people like Paul Crisan, and Terry Maris obeying the calling of God to make these connections happen.
This January, Paul took his leave of planet earth and we celebrated his heavenly homegoing.
