Hey, it's Josh with Dream Body Clinic, and in this video, I'll be talking about the Mesenchymal stem cells and their interaction with Covid and the Covid vaccines. One question we often receive from our patients is whether vaccinated donors can be used in stem cell therapy. While we prefer non-vaccinated donors, there's actually no need to worry about vaccinated donors.

You see, mesenchymal stem cells cannot carry the Covid virus, and they don't have the ACE two receptor that the virus needs to infect cells. The spike protein in Covid is like a key, and the ACE two receptor is the keyhole that opens the cell up for the virus to enter. But since mesenchymal stem cells don't have this receptor, they have no interaction with Covid or the vaccine.

The vaccine was designed to get cells to create spike proteins in limited numbers to create antibodies and fight off Covid. Mesenchymal stem cells have been thoroughly tested and it has been confirmed that they do not interact with Covid or the vaccine. While we still screen our donors and prefer non-vaccinated ones, this is just to keep our patients' minds at ease.
