Star Wars Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy recently admitted that after expecting a gigantic instantenous audience, the series instead found itself chasing after the audience, which he found to be surprising. It wasn't to anyone who are able to objectively appraise how the Star Wars franchise has been managed under Lucasfilm.
