While back home in Michigan my Mom showed us how to make our own laundry detergent using very low cost ingredients. For about $10 you get many years worth of washing using this recipe.

My Mom has been using this laundry detergent recipe for a while now and she is very pleased with the results. She says that her clothes are coming out nice and white without the need for any whitening agent.

And the laundry smells fresh as well.

This is a very simple recipe using old fashioned ingredients that have been around for many years. Some of the main ingredients are good old borax and baking soda.

A five gallon bucket of this soap makes a batch of ten gallons of laundry detergent. You dilute it 50/50 with water for use in your washing machine.

A ten dollar batch of ingredients will last for many batches of laundry detergent.
