As a bit of a background for those who don't know who Gary Vaynerchuk (also known as Garyvee) is: Gary is a multiple times best selling author, is recognized globally as one of the top thought leaders in business and society, runs multiple multi-million dollar businesses and he's one of the people I respect and look up to most.

I could go on for a while, but I'd rather talk about things that will help YOU instead.

So here's what you're gonna learn from this video:

Firstly, I created this video to share with you the message that life is long, incredibly long! I don't care if you're 18, 29 (like me) or 45, YOU HAVE TIME! And you have a lot of it!

Patience is one of the keys to success in life, regardless of the goals you have set.

So firstly, understand that you can achieve any goal that you set for yourself, but it is going to take you 1 - 5 years longer than you think it will take you to achieve them. That's perfectly fine! With the way tech is going, you're most likely going to live a healthy life until you're 100.

So who cares if you don't have life figured out at 30?! (few people do)

The second core lesson that I have learned from Gary is having empathy and kindness in the face of hatred. Something clicked with me in one of his videos where he shared that people's negative attitude towards others is a reflection of how THEY are feeling.

It's oftentimes not about you, try not to get too hung up over it!

But really, think about this:

Would someone who is genuinely happy and enjoying life go out of their own way to deliberately make other people feel worse about themselves? Of course not! So have empathy towards hatred, because those people are often coming from a dark place...

And finally:

One of the things I admire so much about Gary is his relentlessness and tenacity in pursuing his goals. There are few people who have such a work ethic.

A few things to unpack here:

Yes, if you want to reach your goals, you're going to have to take massive action to make it happen! It means less blaming others and complaining and more rolling up your sleeves to make things happen. Find something that you can do where you LOVE the process of doing it, or you're not going to be able to sit through the tough times!

But...

At the same time, you need to take care of yourself first. Meaning, don't compromise on your sleep, nutrition, exercise or other areas of your health in order to achieve your goals. You're not going to be able to enjoy life if you're not healthy and taking care of yourself.

And lastly, circling back to patience.

On a day-to-day basis, go all out to move forwards toward your goals but in the macro, remember that creating anything worthwhile is going to take a while to achieve.

Ambition + Tenacity + Patience = Winning Life!

And so, those are 3 of the life lessons that everyone should learn in their own lives. Please take these to heart and live by these in your own life!

Have a wonderful day!
