Worship is eternal
Amazing Grace
When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we've first begun
Before I am a pastor I am a worshipper
Here is why...
Born To Worship
We were born to worship
Born to live a life for God
Philippians 1:21, “For me to live is Christ.”
No better life to live than one for God
God is better
Best life you can live is for Christ
Exodus
Exodus 8:1, “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.”
Set free with a purpose = worship
Purpose of life? Google
Purpose = Worship
Everyone is worshipping someone or something
How do I know what I'm worshipping? Honor, liftup, exalt

Not common but uncommon
Ascribing worth
God is not ordinary or common
God is interested in our worship because He created us to worship Him
1st & 2nd Commandments
3 Aspects of Worship

1. Lifestyle (Avodah)

Avodah mean to worship, to work, to serve
To work is to worship
Genesis 2:15 it says, “God put the man in the Garden to work (Avodah) and to take care of it.”
Adam's work was his worship
Worship is a lifestyle
Excellence at school, work and rasing kids
Paint houses unto the Lord; cut hair unto the Lord

2. Prayer

We think of worship and prayer as different
Both are acts of surrender

3. Praise

Largest book in Bible = Psalms
David wrote over half
Psalm 33 says, “Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. 2 Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. 3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.”
Worship is less about song and more about the heart
80 yr old and 28 yr old
People leave church not liking worship; it's not about you
Psalm 22:23 says, “God inhabits the praise of his people.”
Worship with open hearts; singing, clapping, lifted hands
World considers us crazy; God considers us worshippers
Why worship? He is worthy
Celebrate Recovery
Get the revel;ation of what he has done and you cant help but worship
Power in worship; soothed Saul's mind and spirit

In order to breakout you need to breakthrough
Acts 16 = Paul & Silas
Acts 16:25-26 says, “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”
Worship unleashes supernatural power of God
Praise was key for their breakout
There is a war for your worship
We worship with lifestyle, prayer, and praise
Worship = Celebration

Revelation 15

Revelation 15:5-8 says, "after this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. 7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed."

Article: Golden Bowls of Incense
These bowls are probably connected to the bowls filled with prayers of the martyrs
Revelation 5:8 says, "And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people."
Vengeance is the Lord's
God will have the final say
