Star Wars’ Dave Filoni Reflects on Shadowing Rian Johnson During The Last Jedi
Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian‘s Executive Producer and Lucasfilm’s Executive Creative Director, has talked a bit about his time shadowing various Star Wars directors during the production of the sequel trilogy, including Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson. He’s obviously a very talented filmmaker, and I was just very fortunate to be in such an environment where I could sit and listen and learn.” Filoni has gone on to direct a few live-action Star Wars projects, including three episodes of The Mandalorian and multiple episodes of the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka. The latter is based on the titular character that Filoni and Star Wars creator George Lucas created for the animated movie and series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Quite a few Star Wars projects are on the horizon, including the Disney+ series Ahsoka, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew. The third season of The Mandalorian is currently releasing weekly on Disney+, while the video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearing its April 28 release date.
