Beth Abrams is a successful artist who spends her afternoons in a local park near her studio. While sketching, she notices an old lady who captivates her with her sad yet strong and beautiful appearance. Beth approaches the lady and asks to paint her portrait. The lady, named Tants, eventually agrees, but over a cup of tea. As Beth paints, Tants reveals her love for tea, which she inherited from her father. Beth notices Tants' Hol0caust tattoo, and Tants shares that she is a survivor of Auschwitz where she lost her entire family, including her daughter.

Beth is visited by her mother unexpectedly, when she notices the portrait of Tants. Beth's mother is drawn to Tants' eyes and insists on meeting her.

She accompanies Beth to the park the next day, and Beth's mother approaches Tants and reveals that she is Tant's daughter, Silvia. Tants is shocked because she and her daughter both thought the other was d3ad according to Auschwitz records. But as it turns out, the records were wrong.
