Landscaping Mistakes with Lantana (Ground Cover Plant) Shirley Bovshow #shorts

Are you guilty of this landscaping mistake? I recently saw a majestic potted palm tree that was underplanted with Lantana that was sheared back so much, all you saw was a bunch of woody stems, no leaves, and one single flower!

Lantana is a beautiful flowering plant that can be used as a spiller or a cascading ground cover in a large container. It attracts pollinators but this lantana was pruned back so much, all the leaves and flowers were missing.

TIP: When planting a cascading plant like Lantana that can easily overgrow the container, do selective pruning of stems when the plant is still young and cut back to a lower node, but don't shear this plant! You will lose all the aesthetics of the plant and compromise it's health.
