Carla was born to a trumpet player and a beautiful misfit, a long time ago, in Los Angeles. She learned early, that there are lovely people in the world, in quite unexpected places. She also learned to see beyond the expected places, for all those lovely experiences. Graduating from high school in the turbulent 60’s, she went to art school to escape political violence. There, she had her first visions of color and non-color. Previously, she worked in black ink and white paper. Then, when she studied sculpture, she worked in materials that mimicked human skin [green bucket], and clear glass [artichoke]. Finally, when she broke through and started using colors, there were no limits. [stained glass].

She went on to study law after art school, moved to New York and wrote. Experiencing the culture of sterilewhite living rooms, trendy New York clothing that was black on black, most of the time, and the ever-present beige in everything, from interior design to upholstery, she rebelled. Her book, How to Find and Love Your Small Space, launched June, 2021 on Amazon, included a large chapter on the need for color in our lives, including our own spaces.[Book screenshot] When she was researching the book, she leaned on reference books by authors such as Ambika Wauters. Finally, she sought out a certification course at the Holistic Arts Institute in California, to really understand more of this science of the relationship between colors and the visible spectrum and he human organism.

Homeopathy works, and is respected by many countries in Europe and an acceptable first therapeutic remedy. However, Carla wanted to find a non-medical use for this wonderful tool. She experimented with various formats and techniques, using colors in different ways, and found one that had extraordinary results.

She is writing a book, Wellness & Colors—Simple Tools to Empower Life, which [will be available in pre-order on March 18]. She also has a website, a subscription, to receive weekly color tools and other content, and an app in development.

The goal, she says, is to use this extremely powerful tool that was used by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, to enhance what is now available in the wellness toolbox. It is free, it has no side effects (don’t stare at the sun) and is based on physics and frequencies, as well as optical physics.
