SBC Family,

We're going to finish Titus tomorrow. This will be our last lesson that focuses on sound doctrine and order for good deeds. One of the things to remember is that good deeds are not inevitable just because you are a Christian. Otherwise, Paul would not need to say that our people need to learn how to do good deeds. Yet he does say that. He also says we need to be careful to do good deeds and zealous for good deeds. We are not saved by good deeds, but we are saved for good deeds. God has planned our lives in the sense that He sets up the circumstances that revolve around us and we are supposed to recognize that and respond accordingly. If an opportunity presents itself, we are supposed to be ready to capitalize by doing good deeds.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." - Eph 2:10

Let's spur one another on and encourage one another to good deeds. I've attached the notes for the last lesson.

Grace to you,
Jeremy
