Aurora - A Magical Music Experience From Norway

Aurora Aksnes, born 15 June 1996, never intended to be a performing artist, her family was mostly unaware of the depth of her talent until she became very popular on the internet in her early teens after her friends posted her singing her songs.
Being a quirky introvert, she mostly hung out by herself in the forest near her home in Norway and is very sensitive and in tune with nature. She started piano lessons at age six and wrote songs at age nine. Her songs were mostly her way of emoting her personal feelings and were not intended for the public. She also expressed her dislike of her own voice as a reason not to be a singer. Her mother convinced her to share her beautiful voice with the world after she initially declined a recording contract.
At first, she was very uncomfortable performing, but when she felt the audience reciprocate with their love, she then loved the intensity of performing. She sings with her whole body, not just her voice to express her emotion and appears to be living the songs she sings. Although her voice is innocently beautiful many of her songs have dark themes. All the songs in this video are performed live.
The last 10 minutes of the video are interviews showing Aurora's humor and her free-spirited personality. Her angelic voice is magical.
