Dalai Lama tweets apology after video asking boy to “suck my tongue” goes viral

The Dalai Lama issued an apology over Twitter Monday after a viral video emerged over the weekend showing the spiritual leader kissing a child on the lips and then asking him to “suck my tongue” at an event in northern India. “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident,” the Dalai Lama said.
