In this episode of Wandering Wagners we went RVing in Wild Weather and encountered a Tornado Warning, Wind, Rain and A Trail Race at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. This is an Ohio State Park near Columbus, OH. @OhioStateParks

We were camping with some friends and family because Lynn signed up to run a trail half marathon race, and her sisters were going to run the 5k trail race. Of course the weather wouldn't play nice and we had a Tornado Warning the night before our race! It kept us up for about an hour because the sirens kept sounding every few minutes. The tornados and really bad weather was North of us and we were watching the local weather and the warnings were further North of us luckily!
The day of the trail half marathon (13.1 miles) arrived to very high winds, and it even rained during the race, it had been raining so much lately the the course was SO muddy and slippery! Very challenging because of the MUD! Lynn decided to run this race in her @Keenfootwear hiking boots instead of her @altrarunning trail running shoes. Luckily the boots kept her feet dry which was amazing!
I finished and celebrated a muddy victory with a beer at the finish line with Mike, Matt and Debbie cheering Lynn on! Then it was on to (a well earned shower) and a meal at @Roosterswings which are some of our favorite wings! Later we had a campfire, and more rain and wind haha
Overall is was a great trip even with the wild weather!
