Upgrading a small worm bin

I left my 7 gallon tote with castings at my brothers. He wanted castings plus he wanted to start a worm bin. I told home to add paper to half of the bin and leave the castings in the other side of the bin. I told him to slowly I add some food to the paper bedding to allow the red wigglers to migrate into the new bedding. He eventually used all the castings and had been feeding the bin for the last few months. Today the worm bin is being upgraded to a 14 gallon tote. All of the castings were loosened and fluffed before being added into the tote fresh bedding and a feeding.
