Republican Argues DeSantis Isn’t Fascist By Listing All The Fascist Things He’s Done

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) went on Fox News on Tuesday to defend Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis against accusations that he is a fascist.

Lee said that there is "nothing about Governor DeSantis that is a fascist." He added that DeSantis has "never once tried to centralize government power" or "aggregate power at the expense of the individual."

Lee's comments come after several Democrats have accused DeSantis of being a fascist. In particular, they have pointed to DeSantis's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, his opposition to vaccine mandates, and his support for former President Donald Trump.
