Challenge Your Thoughts: Investigating Your Cognitive Distortions and its Impact on Your Life
We believe that our purpose on earth is to help make it a better place. How better to do that than to be our best and strongest, and help others be theirs.
In this workbook, you will explore cognitive distortions: what they are, and what to do to fix them. Everything you need to reframe your negative thoughts are already inside you; it's just a matter of being aware that you are thinking about them and using strategies to fix them.
In this resource, you will become aware of the cognitive distortions that people develop and their impact on thinking and the self. In each activity, you'll read the definition, a short scenario illustrating the distortion, and the impact on the self, and on thinking. There are also a few recommended strategies you can utilize to reframe your distortions.
Complete one page per day and allow yourself the time to reflect on whether and or how each distortion may or may not impact your life. You may find that you engage in one or two distortions all the time and maybe other distortions none of the time. Again, the objective is to be aware of your thoughts impact on your life and reframe your thinking as necessary.
Keep in mind it is important to celebrate the little changes you will begin to see. Always be kind to yourself and know you are not alone in this challenge to be a better version of yourself. We are in this together and together we will rise and thrive.
