Infamous First Light follows the story of Abigail "Fetch" Walker, a young woman with neon powers who is being held captive in a detention center for conduits. The game takes place before the events of Infamous Second Son and serves as a prequel to that game.

The story begins with Fetch being interrogated by the DUP (Department of Unified Protection) about her involvement in a recent terrorist attack. As she tells her story, we are taken back to her past, where we see her struggling to survive on the streets of Seattle with her brother Brent.

As she learns to control her powers, Fetch becomes more powerful and begins to work for Shane on more dangerous jobs. However, when one of their jobs goes wrong, Brent is killed, and Fetch is captured by the DUP.

In the detention center, Fetch is subjected to experiments and torture by the DUP, who are trying to find a way to control the powers of conduits. As she fights for her freedom, Fetch discovers that there is a conspiracy within the DUP and that she is part of a larger plan to harness the power of conduits.

In the end, Fetch manages to escape the detention center and confronts the mastermind behind the conspiracy, Augustine, the same antagonist from Infamous Second Son. The game concludes with a climactic battle between Fetch and Augustine, where Fetch emerges victorious and sets the stage for the events of Infamous Second Son.
