Correction
When I said there was no evidence linking circumcision to reduced risk of urinary tract infections (UTI) I was wrong. I believe I made this mistake after looking at papers and NHS reports investigating whether routine circumcision of babies was justified because of this reduced risk. All papers and reports said that it was not, unless the child was repeatedly suffering from them. Somewhere along the line I got my wires crossed and I apologise for this mistake. Having said that my point still stands. Circumcision is complete over kill for what is a trivial problem to treat.
