Go woke go broke (again) & the DPRK ready to launch another satellite - is it an EMP

The push for businesses to "go woke" - embracing progressive social values and advocating for social justice causes - is a trend that's gained momentum in recent years. While the intention of these changes is often to reflect societal values and demonstrate corporate responsibility, the financial consequences of these actions can be profound and often detrimental.

It can be a perilous endeavor when a company's shift towards "wokeness" is perceived as disingenuous or merely a marketing strategy, leading to alienation of a significant portion of their consumer base. A poorly executed change in policy can result in a severe disconnect between the company and its customers, leading to a decline in sales, market share, and ultimately, financial stability - a phenomenon often referred to as "going broke."

Moreover, the "go woke, go broke" adage underscores the risk of businesses neglecting their primary purpose: to provide a product or service that satisfies customer needs. When a company shifts its focus from its core competencies to social issues, it risks spreading its resources too thin, diluting its brand identity, and confusing its consumers.

A company's foray into "wokeness" should ideally be balanced, genuine, and aligned with its brand values, rather than a hasty reaction to social trends. A misjudged or poorly executed move towards "wokeness" can do more harm than good, alienating both existing and potential customers, thereby threatening the financial health and sustainability of the business.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has recently examined a completed military spy satellite, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). The launch of this satellite, expected to occur in the coming weeks, is viewed as a vital step towards bolstering the country's defense amid escalating tensions with the U.S. and South Korea.

The satellite's launch is part of an unspecified "future action plan" approved by Kim during his visit to the aerospace facility. However, the satellite's capabilities remain a subject of speculation, with some South Korean analysts suggesting it may not be equipped for high-resolution imagery due to its small size and apparent crude design.

This potential launch, which would involve long-range missile technology banned by U.N. Security Council resolutions, raises questions about regional peace and stability. South Korea's Foreign Ministry has criticized North Korea's intent to proceed with the launch, accusing the regime of focusing on "illegal provocations" at the expense of its citizens' well-being.

Amid these developments, commercial satellite images suggest rapid construction activities at North Korea's northwest rocket launch facility, the site of the country's last satellite launch in 2016. Furthermore, Japan's military has ordered the activation of missile interceptors in response to the potential threat of falling debris from the satellite.
