Canada: Environment Minister Guilbeault on Canada’s National Biodiversity Strategy – May 26, 2023

In Ottawa, federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault speaks with reporters following a two-day meeting on conservation, wildlife and biodiversity with provincial and territorial ministers and Indigenous leaders. He is joined by Nathan Cullen, British Columbia’s Minister of water, land and resource stewardship and Tim Halman, Nova Scotia’s Minister of environment and climate change. The ministers pledge to work collaboratively to develop Canada’s 2030 Biodiversity Framework and implement new targets aimed at preserving biodiversity across the country. (May 26, 2023)
