Slaughterbots Deadly Algorithm - If Human: DESTROY()

If you thought artificial intelligence could be a threat, imagine giving it the power to kill. This is the idea behind slaughter bots, and many people, including Elon Musk, are already calling for them to be banned. However, this new technology shouldn’t be banned without a second thought. There are many reasons why lethal autonomous weapons could make society a better place, and we’ll cover a few of them in this video. We’ve all seen grim futures depicted when it comes to autonomous killing machines. Movies like The Terminator and Westworld would have us believe that this scenario always goes wrong. Obviously, it's wise to look at the worst-case scenario. However, the reality is a little different from what Hollywood perpetuates. Giving a machine the power to kill might sound like a bad idea, especially if it's done irresponsibly. But imagine a system that is programmed with the perfect orders. A machine that could move through a battlefield without making a single miscalculation. It would only fire on hostile targets with such precision that no civilians would be harmed in the process.

In today's video we look at Slaughterbots Deadly Algorithm - If Human: DESTROY()...Keep watching to see what slaughterbots are and why many want to stop autonomous weapons. But what are lethal autonomous weapon systems or LAWS? These "killer robots" are part of the ai arms race to allow military ai to make their own decisions on attacking enemy combatants. But there are defensive weapon systems that exist, for example the Iron Dome which can make split second decisions to intercept enemy missiles. This ai dilemma is the real danger, not chatgpt or bing ai.
