Let me know in the comments what aircraft this is. I think it's an F6F Hellcat but I could be wrong.

Footage from 1944, WW2, showing a US military aircraft crashlanding onto and aircraft carrier in the Manila Bay, Philippines. The F6F Hellcat attempts to land with no landing gear and slides along the ship. Men run out with extinguishers to stop the plane from catching fire while others assist the pilot. Footage has been colorized, ai enhanced, set to 60fps, and added sound design.
