Compassionate Care | Alita Reynolds and Dr. Melyn Galbreath

Overview
I am excited to share the latest episode of our Women of Faith Show, where I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Melyn Galbreath, a mental health professional and advocate. During our conversation, Dr. Melyn shared some powerful insights and advice that will be valuable for all of us. Here are a few of my favorite takeaways from our conversation:

1. Expand your social circle: Dr. Melyn emphasized the importance of having a supportive network of friends, family, and colleagues, especially during difficult times. She encouraged us to actively seek out new relationships and be intentional about nurturing the ones we already have.

2. Don't isolate yourself: Dr. Melyn stressed that isolation is one of the most damaging things we can do when struggling with mental health issues. She urged us to reach out for help, whether talking to a friend or seeking professional support.

3. Prioritize self-care: Dr. Melyn shared some of her self-care practices, such as praying in the morning and asking for wisdom and insight. She also recommended listening to inspirational podcasts or music in the afternoon to help her stay motivated and focused.

Please take the time to listen to this episode and hear more of Dr. Melyn's wisdom and insights.
