Bill Win in Quebec Court!

Bozena Lis and Liliana Gwizdkowska were charged $1,600.00 for not wearing a mask. Bozena, who is medically exempt from wearing a mask was physically restrained with handcuffs and a mask was forcibly placed over her mouth by a police officer.
The women have made a constitutional challenge of the mask law. They presented brilliant arguments in court on Thurs, June 15th to support their position.

The women asked for extra time to deal with the difficulty they were having with the 456-page French documentation provided by the crown. Under section 133 of the constitution the courts are required to provide documentation in EN and in FR. The court denied this.

Then they made a motion under Canadian Bill of Rights section 1(b), equality rights and 2(e), right to a fair trial and the court allowed them 6 additional days to deal with translation of the documentation and won!
