Tie-dye pattern : Rippling Pleats Mini Tapestry (Bottom Up)

In this video I demonstrate how to tie-dye a Rippling Pleats pattern on a Mini Tapestry. As always the material has first been washed and soaked in soda ash (1 cup of soda ash per 1 gallon of warm water) and then spun out in the washer so that the material is damp but not sopping wet. With the mini tapestry still damp, I begin this tie-dye tutorial with the drawing of the design onto the tapestry, and then pleat folding and binding the tapestry with rubber bands. For the next step I apply the chosen liquid dye colors (shown in the video) to the tapestry, and then let the tapestry sit undisturbed for 24 hours to allow the dye time to set into the fabric. After the 24 hours are up, I give the tapestry a good rinse while squeezing the material to remove all of the excess dye. For the last step it's now time to remove the rubber bands and reveal our new Tie Dye Rippling Pleats Mini Tapestry. I hope you enjoy and as always...Happy Tie Dyeing!
