New economic czar 'splains Bidenomics, then has a power outage | June 27, 2023

(June 27, 2023) Joe Biden's Deputy Spokesperson #OliviaDalton filled in for Press Secretary #KJP at the White House Press briefing and introduced us to the new Director of Bindenomics (#LaelBrainard) to bewilder us with her wordsmith skills while attempting to 'splain away high inflation by telling us #Bidenomics has created millions of jobs [to replace jobs lost during the pandemic] and that thousands of new clean energy jobs were also being on-shored. Brainard is replacing Mister Biden's economic czar #BrianDeese, formerly of Black Rock and the driving force behind the travesty known as the Inflation Reduction Act. Olivia Dalton wanted us to believe her (and not our wallets) that Bidenomics was working, but that we just can't feel it yet. Amazingly, some reporters weren't buying it and began pushing back. Could this be the beginning of a new era in journalism, when reporters really do "speak truth to power" and challenge our government and the status quo? When one reporter had asked if Americans were only just now starting to see results of Bidenomics after 2 years, he asked "Was it because Americans aren't being patient enough?" (Sarcasm) Deputy Spokesperson #OliviaDalton retorted: "People all across the country are starting to see shovels in ground." (Shovels in ground? Under Obama, the slogan used to be "We're creating millions of shovel-ready jobs." But people who knew better back then, we always called it "bull$hit" — and said they were shoveling it.)
