For the strawberry topping
1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/4 cup sugar

For the whipped topping
1 tsp unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp plain yogurt or sour cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
