OSHA attempts to intimidate two Health and Safety Experts

OSHA reached out to us with an intimidation tactic!
On July 6th, 2023, we were both sent an “advisement” style demand letter from Robert Murphy, the Office of Training and Education Director.

We united in the summer of 2020 and have spoken all around the country on the proper control measures through the hierarchy of safety and controls. Combined, we are degreed and credentialed in Occupational Environmental Health and Safety; this includes certificates from OSHA.

Since 2020, we have consistently communicated that we have never worked for OSHA, as such an association would be considered a downgrade or a step backward. This statement reflects our ability to receive higher compensation as professionals in the private sector, enhanced prospects for career advancement, increased responsibilities, and a wide array of valuable experiences.

The letter authored by Robert Murphy exhibits a lack of decency and has no factual basis. Notably, no legal counsel sent these correspondences, and there was no challenge to the scientific evidence presented during our speech in Vermont. This method of intimidation shall not be tolerated. Instead of asking for our side of this issue, an accusation was thrown our way. We have gone out of our way to ensure people do not think we work for OSHA or ever have. However, we are credentialed and certified in many subdisciplines through OSHA, EPA, and DOT. In addition, we have been credentialed through these agencies as train the trainers. This is nothing but a game of semantics to silence and discredit us, and it shows that they are attempting to silence our voices in exposing their revisionism.
