Grid Down Emergency Cooking Challenge - Week 1 - Epic Fail
We are 5 days into our 30-day grid-down cooking challenge and I decided to call it an epic fail. Seriously, it wasn’t a failure by any stretch of the imagination but we did learn a few good lessons. Some of the meals were not quite up to the same standard that I am used to.
Inconvenience is probably the best word for me to sum up the experience this week. We are all eating just fine but cooking without power takes more work and more time. It is fun playing with all of our alternative cooking devices.
You may notice that we are calling this "Week 1" and yet we really only covered 5 days. Our YouTube publishing schedule is every Monday and Thursday. In order to publish on Thursday, I need all of Wednesday to prepare and upload the video. The other weeks should include 7 days, with the exception of the last week which will be another short week.
