The briidea Safe Pool Alarm is very easy to use and it works great. I had no trouble setting it up and activating it whenever I needed to secure my pool area.
However, I did find that the installation instructions provided were a bit scant. I had to rely on my own knowledge and experience to properly install the alarm.
Additionally, the adhesive installation material could be a bit stronger. I had to reinforce it with some extra adhesive to ensure that the alarm stayed securely in place.
One of the reasons I purchased this alarm was because the advertisement stated that it met UL 2017 standards for Child Pool Safety Law.
However, when the county inspector came to inspect our pool, he failed the alarms because he couldnt find any evidence on the alarms themselves or in the accompanying paperwork that they met UL 2017.
He explained that simply stating it in the advertisement was not satisfactory for compliance. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to purchase other alarms that met the necessary standards.
