Facebook caught COLLECTING 'extraordinarily sensitive' TAX DATA

Last year The Markup reported that tax filling agencies were potentially sharing tax filler information with Meta, Facebook's parent company. Last week a Senate report confirmed that H&R Block, TaxAct and TaxSlayer shared a wealth of 'extraordinarily sensitive' data with the social media giant. Facebook used this information to train their algorithms as well as sharing it with third party vendors to customize advertisements. This is an incredible breach of privacy. Our federal agencies have declined to comment.
