We are on public land in Florida and sit in a ground blind for 13 hours waiting for this Catch Clean Cook to happen! I can't believe it happened!

This is Florida public land hunting at its finest...

Sometimes sitting in a tree blind for 13 hours is what it takes for a catch and cook to happen on public land.

Hunting florida public land for Osceola turkey poses it's own bumps in the road. Maybe another hunter walks over your decoys right before sunset, or you didn't have time to scout for turkey on public land.

But sometimes you get a little lucky!

This is a turkey catch and cook I won't be forgetting anytime soon! I am a first time turkey hunter, but I do my best to explain how to hunt turkey and then everything that follows like how to clean turkey and how to cook turkey.

I don't know if I want to sit 13 hours in a ground blind again to shoot a turkey, but honestly I would probably do it again! The reward was amazing and this turkey catch clean cook will be a hunting video and memory that I will always cherish.

Cooked wild turkey tasted amazing. Better than store bought turkey with no gamey taste. Hunting public land for turkey was a great experience in Florida. I know wild turkey in Florida aren't as big as the ones up north, but I know the rush of public land hunting is just the same.

Sitting in a blind with Lee for 13 hours was a LONG TIME!

My butt started to hurt after around 7 hours. My legs wanted to stretch in the tree blind. I wanted to just get out and run around in the sun. But we patiently sat as a good turkey hunter would. And the prized wild Florida Osceola turkey came right to us!
