I knew it was only a matter of time before I tried eating a reptile. An iguana catch and cook was on my mind for a long time. I thought this would be a gator catch clean and cook but I guess to cook iguana in some ways is similar to gator hunting.

Not only will you see me gator hunting and iguana hunting here in Florida but I will show you how to cook iguana. And now just how to cook florida iguana but also how to catch cook and clean an iguana. This is the full how to cook a lizard experience!

Iguana is many times referred to as the chicken of the trees. And after cooking iguana I now know why that is. I strongly believe that to slow cook em is the best way to cook iguana meat. This leaves you with a soft iguana meat that tastes like chicken.

So if you were to ask me how to cook a lizard I would say Slow Cook Em! Maybe i'll try to cook iguana on a grill at one point, but it always looks like the iguana meat comes out chewy and flavorless when grilled.

This is my first reptile catch clean and cook episode but I don't think it will be my last as I really enjoyed gator hunting and iguana hunting here in Florida on the South Florida Fishing Channel.

Here in Florida my backyard is full of the invasive lizards so many of us call the florida iguana, the green iguana but in reality this iguana is not native and should be only used for catch clean and cook lizard episode. Sometimes I think of the lizards as a dinosaur because they have been around for such a long time according to scientists. There have been iguana catch and cook episodes happening for thousands of years, but not all caught on tape. Until recently!
