In this video:
I start out in Key Largo, Florida and run a short way south to Tavernier Creek and cross into the Atlantic Ocean. From here's it's about a 30 mile run out to Floyds Wall. Floyds Wall is a large drop off edge out east of Islamorada.

It takes me almost 2 hours to get to the fishing spot at Floyds Wall from my marina in Key Largo. I found some awesome dolphin on my way out. The dolphins swam all around my boat! I finally arrive to the spot and it's time to start deep dropping. I rig up my swordfish rig and then drop it down where I think the swordfish are.

This is my first time ever swordfishing so I really didn't know what to expect. And I def. will not be disappointed. A couple hours go by deep dropping and I start to feel a little sad. I was about to call it a day and head back in when my deep drop rod starts bending over.

Fish on! After a 45min fight with the swordfish I finally catch the sucker and bring him into the boat. He's a legal swordfish and I can not wait to cook him up!

I catch clean and cook the swordfish. Filleting the swordfish was interesting and I think it turned out pretty good for my first time trying to clean a swordfish. I steak it up and it tasted amazing! I also am going to smoke some in another video. That will be a treat!

I hope you learned how to catch swordfish from this video. I tried my best to show what rigs to use for swordfish and bait and everything.
