Catching Invasive Venomous Fish on Pole Spear | Bahamas Lionfish

Would you spear the invasive venomous lionfish? We spent an afternoon free diving and spearfishing local Bahamian waters for this invasive fish. Lionfish have begun taking over the Caribbean waters and it is our job to do what we can and remove this species. Although, they may not be welcome in our oceans it doesn’t mean that the fish has to go to waste. Back at the dock we filleted our catch, and headed straight to the kitchen. Lionfish ceviche anyone?

Cubed Lionfish fillets
Celery
Tomatoes
White Onion
Jalapeno Peppers
Bell Peppers
Cilantro
Pineapple (optional)
Lime Juice
Orange Juice (just a splash)
