And it needs to be said that those who are expecting someone else to pick up the work, doing self-representation may not be for you. To be successful you will need to put in the work to learn the procedures and your defence strategy. It's also imperative that you give yourself time to prepare... that means as much time absolutely possible. Don't leave it to the last minute.
