Me and the Jeep XJ head out Solo Winter Camping in deep snow. Snow Chains, winching and digging will be the letter of the day.
I got back from the UK a couple of weeks ago and saw that we have had a huge amount of snow fall while away.
Despite that I wanted to get out for a few days and two nights to explore some wilderness roads and a nature reserver about an hour from my home to decompress from the busy Christmas brake. The temperatures are dropping to -19c in the evening and the snow conditions are powdered snow on packed snow. These are good conditions for snow wheeling and chains as the snow can be pushed easily and the packed base provides good traction for the chains to grip to.
