Despite what the professional establishment critics who attended the world premiere of “Black Panther Wakanda Forever” claimed, the movie is every bit as big of a letdown as everything else in Phase 4 of the MCU, if not even more – and with word of that now spreading, opening weekend projections are revised downwards..
How could Marvel and director Ryan Coogler have dropped the ball so badly? Did they not understand what made the first movie so special? Evidently not.
In this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin by reiterating what made the original black Panther the event it was, before exploring how that was subverted into something entirely different in Wakanda Forever – and thus, there will be spoilers – before seeing where this leaves Marvel going forward!
