1980's Broken Ice shaver / Ice Cone Maker Restoration

In this video, I'm restoring a 1980 Vintage Ice Cone Maker. This machine is also called "Gola Maker", The device does not require any electricity and consumes significantly less power. The machine is mainly used in hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, and other places where people love having cold drinks or snacks.

After a quick disassembly, I gave the all parts a nice sandblasting with sand to remove all the rust. With the help of a handheld angle grinder, I removed all the casting marks from all the parts but before I steel weld the broken part. Then I fill the body with body filler. after sliding the filler from all the parts with an angle grinder. I gave a nice paint job with two colors red metallic and off-white.
I cleaned the main threaded screw and two handles' bolts with scotch brite after a 4h bath in rust remover. I used a self-made tumbler to remove the rust from all the screws. I nickel-plated all the screws, the main threaded screw, and the two handles' bolts like they were originally. In the end, I'm very happy with how this Vintage Ice Cone Maker has turned out. The color combination of the red metallic with the shiny off-white parts looks very classy together with the shiny nickel-plated parts and the clean golden-looking base plate is the cherry on the bottom.

Finally, the moment of truth arrives as I reassemble the Ice Cone Maker and put it to the test. With a sense of anticipation, I pour in the ice and turn the handle, eagerly awaiting the delightful swirls of icy goodness. As the first freshly shaved ice spirals into the cup,
I was reminded of the joy and simplicity of bygone summers.
