READ FULL DEBRIEF:
The court appearance follows Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer releasing video of the June 13 incident when Matthew Rodriguez, a 14-year employee of the "force", straight pimp punched Smith in the face and slammed him to the ground while booking him.

While on the ground, Rodriguez punched Smith repeatedly in the head and slammed his head into the floor trying to knock and mush Smith's brains into the funky floor, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Rodriguez's defense lawyer, Elias Muawad, has said he is reviewing the case and seeking medical records and video of the alleged battery and attempted murder of Jaquwan Smith.

One former psychotic and sadistic Warren police officer has been charged in federal court finally with violating a Human Being's civil rights.

Prosecutors "accuse" Matthew Rodriguez of using excessive force while booking a suspect into jail July 10th 2023. Rodriguez has earned and faces a 10-year felony.

He is seen on video blitz attacking Jaqwuan Smith and slamming his head to the floor like he was Batman. Two other officers joined in by holding down Smith and to cover there butts after witnessing the attempted murder later reported the incident.

Rodriguez was fired once the footage was made public.

U.S. Attorney Dawn Ison says that kind of action is unacceptable by officers.

“It not only just damages our ability to have trust in the community, but it also damages the reputations of the vast majority of officers who are doing their jobs right,” Ison stated at a press conference. “Those who violate this oath and the Constitution will be with any other violent crime — be it civilian or the police aggressive in our prosecution of these cases.”

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido says any use of excessive force by police is a violation of the public’s trust.

“We’re gonna remind everyone that the protection of our civil rights and civil liberties are the cornerstone of our democracy, and I appreciate the fact that a U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District has taken great strides in protecting and preserving those liberties,” Lucido said.

Smith has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the City of Warren.

Smith is a scum bag drillbit who still faces multiple charges related to an attempted carjacking, including resisting arrest and armed robbery. No pity for him from us. He still didn't deserve that from the cop booking him.

The move by U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Stafford came four days after federal prosecutors announced charges against Rodriguez, accusing the former officer of violating Jaquwan Smith's civil rights by Battering him without justification.

She also barred Rodriguez from contacting Smith and witnesses, possessing firearms or dangerous weapons and ordered him to surrender any concealed pistol licenses within 48 hours.

Rodriguez said little during the five-minute court hearing beyond "yes" when asked if he had read the criminal case and understood his rights. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
