In a recent study by the University of Washington, 100% of Portland's metro system buses and trains tested positive for traces of illegal Schedule 1 substances. As hilarious as it sounds, these aren't some fancy air fresheners; it's meth and fentanyl, folks! The study was initiated after several bus drivers in King County Metro reported feeling sick due to direct exposure to smoke from these narcotics. While the university assures that the concentrations are too low to cause harm, one can't help but marvel at the quirky selling point of Portland’s public transportation. Thinking about public transit? Might as well throw in some unintentional narcotics exposure, all for the price of one ticket! Oregon might be leading the nation in drug use, but perhaps it’s time to steer clear of those public doors and windows - unless, of course, you fancy a complimentary whiff of Portland's finest.
